Fast in France
Within 24 hours Green Way Systems installed 6 variable traffic signs, 10 measuring-stations, 4 bluetooth measuring instruments, 1 video-camera, concrete foundations, electricity support and communication points.

The Direction Interdépartementale of the Routes Méditerranée (DIR-MED) is renting a compact solution to:

- improve security at the road works
- inform fire service and first aid in real time
- deliver traveltime to the traffic user
- create a graphic picture of the traffic at the internet
- watch and influence the traffic

Regierungspräsidium of Stuttgart: "Innovative variable traffic routing successful"
A pilot project with great promise!

Works are carried out on one traffic lane at a time. An additional lane remains designated for traffic towards Stuttgart, and a third is kept open for traffic towards Göppingen. The fourth lane is variable: from 9pm each day, the lane is open for vehicles in the direction of Stuttgart, as most vehicles travelling at night and in the morning rush hour are heading towards the city centre. At midday, the signs change: the fourth lane opens to traffic towards Göppingen, as more vehicles travel out of the city at this time of day.

This pilot project held a great deal of potential - as a consequence, additional efficient and cost-effective road rehabilitation work can be carried out on highly-used main roads. Variable traffic routing represents a new level of quality in roadwork management.

New: Real-time information for temporary use.
For optimal communication with motorists, Green Way Systems has installed a complete solution using mobile technology, which shall remain in place in the French capital over a duration of 400 days.

12 radars and 3 trivision signs, located at junctions, display information about traffic jams and obstructions. The motorist can then opt to take an alternative route.

Radars add direct information to an online map in real time. Parisians can view this map for free on their PC or smartphone. They can then adapt their route accordingly and avoid traffic jams.

Operator Model A1 Motorway: Europe’s Largest Roadworks
At present, the so-called Hansa-Line is Europe’s largest roadworks with up to seven sections in succession. For its extension, the 70 kilometre stretch was divided into 13 sections, each about six kilometres long. The extension of adjoining sections is time-lagged, which means that in between two sets of roadworks there is a roadworks-free stretch of motorway of at least six kilometres, the so-called “relief-stretch”.
After special concentration required by the driver in the roadworks, these stretches are designed to relax the driver - but not for speeding. Hence, Green Way System’s mobile traffic jam warning system was installed especially to warn of the risk of traffic jams as well as of already existing tailbacks.

Pilot Project A 93 Motorway: Operation Of A Contraflow System
From Thursday, 30th April 2009, the Motorway Authorities of Northern Bavaria are reconstructing the Naah Bridge on the A93 motorway between motorway interchange “Oberpfälzer Wald” and junction “Pfreimd”. At present, a contraflow system is being installed.
In cooperation with the Supreme Building Authorities of the Bavarian Interior Ministry, a contraflow system is used for the first time in Bavaria. According to the density of traffic, one of the three lanes available acts as a second lane for the respective direction of traffic. The existing lane widths are not sufficient to only provide two lanes. Therefore, a three-lane system is installed.
The two outside lanes are permanently allocated to their respective directions. The centre lane is opened according to the density of traffic for one direction by means of lane guidance boards. Now, two lanes are available to the direction with the higher density whereas only one lane can be used by oncoming traffic. At low times, the contraflow stays in a neutral state. The centre lane is closed in both directions. Here, Green Way Systems has implemented a semi-automatic contraflow system.

Recommended Diversion A11 Motorway Szczecin - Berlin
Chaos on the motorway: every weekend the A11 comes to a total standstill. The sea of cars reaches a record high of up to 18 kilometres. For many German tourists their holidays have ended before they began. Going to the Baltic Coast or coming in from Poland, you get stuck in the Uckermark bottleneck. Drivers have to wait for hours on end due to six kilometres of roadworks from Joachimsthal onwards in the direction of Berlin. Here, traffic is reduced to one lane only. This bottleneck cannot cope with the flood of holiday makers returning home.

As soon as traffic becomes dense, intelligent pre-warning systems made by Green Way Systems immediately relay their message to a diversion sign at Pfingstberg - the final exit before the roadworks. The cars are then diverted via Steglitz, Temmen, and Joachimsthal to Werbellin, where they rejoin the motorway way ahead of the roadworks.

CeBit 2011: Green Way Systems installs a traffic management system.
Green Way Systems installed ten temporary programmable variable message signs for efficient traffic routing during the CeBIT trade fair. The large, two-colour LED full matrix signs offer outstanding readability, energy efficiency and excellent luminosity. Using patented installation technology, the LED lenses are fitted directly into the matrix panel, without the need for a front screen, and are therefore distortion-free. Their unique design reduces reflection of light. Even when the sun is low in the sky (5°), the variable message signs provide excellent results and are perfectly readable. To meet the specific requirements of our customers, we offer a wide selection of different variable message signs.
Variable routing successfully tested.
Variable traffic routing was successfully tested and then brought into use on the B10 main road for the first time in Germany.
